Cable fault finding
CFSP can assist in locating cable faults on all LV and MV power cables, whether armoured or unarmoured, single-core or multiple-core. We will also be able to assist with locating sheath faults. The unit to be utilised for the testing is a Buar Surge Generator Test set along with a Baur Protrac CU/AGP Pinpointing System.
VLF Testing
CFSP can conduct VLF Testing on equipment/cables up to 120kV Co-sine rectangular waveform and 84kV sine waveform. We have the following units calibrated and ready for testing: 60HVA, 90HVA, 120HVA and VLF Test system 60 SebaKMT.
Testing and installations of
GIS Switchgear
We have a large, industry-leading certified team for the installations of Joints and terminations up to 72.5 kV. The team can also perform accredited installations of Siemens GIS Switchgear up to 33 kV, including SAT and FAT testing.
Termination and Joint installations:
CFSP prides itself on being an industry leader in LV and MV Termination installations. It is the foundation of the company. We have 15 Certified jointers up to 33kV and 2 Certified jointers up to 72.5kV.

CFSP will conduct thorough inspections on all LV and MV Cable installations and terminations to determine the quality of workmanship and possible defects. Thereafter, a detailed report will be drawn up to clarify the way forward and mitigate the defects identified.
